Default Modification Questions for 02 GT

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and I have afew questions about some parts to get for my car. First off, I am looking at getting a BBK 75 mm TB with a P&P Accufab Plenum. I already have the Loudmouth IIs and I have a K&N air filter that I want to switch out for a CAI.

Also, in the near future I am going to buy lowering springs and wheel spacers. So, my main question is what is the best set of lowering springs out there, and how much of a drop do you really get (I heard that you get even more of a drop than what the websites say)? Also, what is the best brand and size of wheel spacers to get for the rear wheels? I am looking at possibly getting 1" spacers, but I don't know if they are going to stick out past thefender (if it helps I have 18 x 9 rims). Let me know what you guys think! Please post pics of lowering springs and wheel spacers!! ThanksI appreciate it

Wheel spacer are rice and unsafe unless you are using them on skinnys up front.

A CAI is a waste of money you will get no more performance then what you have right now.

Best springs I have seen are sportlines

Don't really agree with this. As long as you get hubcentric spacers and not he ones that simply take up space on your studs, you will be fine. Don't see how they are "rice" either. They 18x10 Saleen wheels that I have seen basically have a spacer built into the wheel to make it stick out more and fit correctly.

To the OP, don't waste your money on a CAI. Your K&N filter will give you the same gains and will save you some cash.

If you are going to buy spacers, make sure that you buy the ones that bolt on to your existing studs and create new studs. The others are unsafe and could cause your studs to break in hard cornering.

For springs, I recommend FRPP C Springs if you want a small drop of about 1.2 inches. If you want a bigger drop, I recommend H&R Super Sports.

Alright cool thanks for the info! btw, I agree with jmac, wheel spacers arent rice at all. They make your rear wheels look much better when they are lined up with the fender.

Has anyone bought the spacers from americanmuscle.com ?? Also please post pics of spacers and lowering kits! Thanks

nothing unsafe about wheel spacersas long as they're hubcentric. h&r or eibach wheels spacers (same)are the ones to go with.

i recommend h&r supersports. not only because i have them but i've never heard one complaint about anything h&r makes.

eibach sportlines are the only other one i would go with. stay away from the prokit (opinion)not enough drop plus too many people have problems with them. that you can do asearch.
