I drive a 2000 gt automatic and i tried putting it in reverse and it wouldn't go anywhere when i stepped on the gas, so i put it in drive and i was just rolling and it made this really loud grinding noise when i stepped on the gas reverse and drive....is my tranny shot? I checked all my belts there fine and my tranny fluid is fine.

Something tells me yes your trans is shot! My F150 did the samething I thought maybe it was my linkage but nope trans was gone! Sorry about your luck!
