I hope you are planning to putting on some CC plates as well because I've heard you need them for anything above 1.5". It has to do with the way your tires wear I believe.

I seriously suggest some CC plates. Also, check out UPR for an inexpensive bumpsteer kit. Possibly look at some other things like offset rack bushings and endlinks... correcting your geometry makes a huge difference in 2"+ drops. Do you know what the spring rate is?

ya i am getting cc plates. im also doing uppers and lowers, bump steer (thanks for letting me know about upr - much cheaper than steeda - same with cc plates), shocks/struts, and ball joints. hopefully it wont take too long to get all that lol. [8D] i never really thought about bushings and end links. is that really needed? will it make a difference? im not too fimiliar with suspension components. any info would be great.

no i dont know the spring rate. i got them off my father in law (he also has a 97 cobra - well had, he stripped it and sold it) so he may still have the instructions but he didnt send them with the springs.

note: hopefully i will have pics of my car up later if anyone is interested lol. (probably not)

also as the above said u will want the plates and the bump steer kit. my front tires went to hell because i was lazy and did not get the plates. as far as bump steer texas can build a smooth road to save their a$$ so if u are going below eighty the steering wheel has a great deal ov vibration/lane sailing.
