Default 4.6 dohc high reving

What is the n/a 4.6l dohc block capable of. I mean rpms wise, 7800? more? Of course it would have to be built but is it done that anyone knows of, besides a strip only car? Does any custom shops know of it?
thanks nick

Its not so much the block as much as the rotating assembley and valve train. With the right work I've read about 4v's revving to 10k+.

jesel makes products to increase rpms with their followers and lash adjusters. I read somewhere that the weak point is in the lash adjusters and one racing team filled the adjusters to stiffen them, but cant find it now. i know panoz and elan use modular engines and that's gt/f series racing, im sure their revving the crap out of them.

its not so much the bottom end, its more on the cam! if your cam quits making power at 8k why rev to 8.5k? you need better springs for sure though, if your wanting rev higher
