Default Tire air pressure?

What do you guys run in your tires, for track days, or like a auto cross event. Street tires, not autocross tires. I have a 99 Gt with eibach pro kit, jammex struts and shocks and mac caster camber plates, I am runing 18 inch tires, on fr 500 rims 245-45-18 dun, up front and 275-40-18's in the rear.
thanks

ALL of the sites i have looked at said to ahve your tires at 40 psi im sure that cant carry over for all types of tires but i am sure that you want your tires pretty much as filled as possible (dont get carried away though) to reduce sidewall roll.

Woah, 40? Mine are in the 33 range and my tire wear has been perfect. I believe on most tires it recommends a psi and the max. it can withstand.

40 psi is what I have been told too! But then I think that's my max anyway.

You want sidewall roll? You want your tires to 'grip' the road.

I agree with Kubball, I think 40 is wayyyy to high... I am running 32. Otherwise it's like driving on ice and the centers wear too fast.
