I could be incorrect, but I believe that the Machs only have a forged crank in the 5sps.

I don't think anything else is up to the numbers or punishment the Cobras are.

yes machs came with an auto but the internals are non forged. The 5 speeds have forged internals
I'm guessing the autos were limited inproduction??

+1 the 5sp'ds came with an forged crankshaft with an alum block, autos have a cast crank shaft w/a alum block.

Exactly, if that motor isn't built, its a time bomb. Mach 5spds came with a forged crank, the automatics did not. Either way, the rest of the motor is the same as the GTs, and the safe limit is still 450rwhp (for a limited time). If the trans is stock, it'll be the first thing to letgo. I would still check it out, it could have a built DSS block and built tranny for you know.

Well if its an azure blue mach 1. With a turbo I say jump on it. My got rid of his last year. Built 4v motor, 76mm turbo.I believe, maybe bigger
Built auto with a 3400 stall. the car made some power. He used to walk on 03,04 cobra b4 whipple and kb started making blowers for them.


If any1 wants to see a vid of the car I speak off. Go on youtube and type in turbo mach. It will be the 1st video. Very good vid. For back in 2004

the rest of the motor isnt the same. 4v heads? way differnt intake? how can you say rest of the motor. the machs have 10:1 compression. gts i think are 8:1.

go on m1r there are alot of machs with over 450 rwhp and still on stock bottom end. my tuners friend has a mach with a kb pushing 550 to the wheels on a stock botom end. as long as youdont detonate your fine.

but how often does he use all 550 hp???i bet its not very often. you could have600-800 hp on a stock bottom end and never take it over 70mph or get onitand it would last for years, but a couple ofgood passesat a strip and its over!!!

I know that much man, I was referring to the internals that were affected by the turbo. Do you really think I own a Mach 1 and don't know it has 4V heads? Keep thinking that about it being safe to push 450rwhp. It may last you 2 years or more, but I'm telling you from experience, it's not going to last. 550rwhp on a stock bottom end is the biggest cluster *** I've heard of. If you're going to spend that kind of money trying to push 550 to the rear, at least do it right.

That's pretty dumb! Why would they do forged internals on a 5spd, but not an auto?

Do they honestly think those that drive autos, punish their cars less?
