Default Brake Question

Car sat for five months, and when I drove it home on Friday, it required a lot of pressure to bring the car to a stop.

I've stored the car during winter for the past 4 years now, and this is the first time I can recall having anything different with the brakes after getting the car back out of storage.

My cousin had bad brakes on a Contour that turned out to be a vacuum problem.

I did do a head replacement and messed with A LOT of things under the hood. Is there some sort of vaccuum line that has something to do with our brakes?

Okay, just wondering.
