Default take a look

By looking at these pictures can anyone give there opinion on weather I can use this head or not. ther are three cracks on the top of the bolt hole. The only way I was thinking I would be able to use it is to put some JB weld on there and just use away. Here are the pictures

Sorry about the quality. The cracks only extend about 1/4 of an inch.

I'm not too sure why you would want to.

You can pick up another head for well under 200 dollars loaded with everything you need.

I would'nt take the risk of dealing with a damaged head myself.

i wouldnt use it. not worth the chance of it causing problems
and causing costly damage. JB weld wont last very long with the amount
of change the aluminum goes through heating and cooling.
good luck

I agree.. Looks like its a part of the cap. Just buy a replacement off a junked head, could probably get one for cheap

It is on the girdle but I was told the girdles are machined matched with the head so I could not just go get one from a junk yard. Is this not true? let me know guys!!!

thats what i heard. i would just use it. you have the 3rd bolt so you should be fine. my cam girdles are cracked as well, and havent had any issues with it at all. that was back when i installed the PI heads, which was back in sept.....about 9+k miles ago.
