RE: Am i going to blow my stock 4.6
In years gone by, I've blown three motors: one Dodge, one Chevy and one Ford. All because of going past redline. You go a long way in keepingyour motor in one piece if yourun good synthetic oil and keep the tack out of the red. There are no gaurantees.I have heard of motors blowing up on the dyno as they arebeing tuned toa brandnew supercharger. I have also heard of othersthat have gone through 60,000 miles of supercharged abuse on the track every weekend.

made 400rwhp 430rwtq stock short block kenne bell @9lbs, never went past redline, motor had 55k blew it in 1 week of having it tuned at a reputable shop, it blew after 1 pass wot....i would say a stock motor should only see 380whp MAX if i did it all over again i would do a vortech low boost making under 400, twin screw ftw with a built motor tho....however twin screws like a kb, are very hard on a motor, compared to a centri.
