Default MRT Catted H Midpipe owners

Hey lads,
I am really close to buying an out of state (I live in california) 2004 Mach1. The (good) Problem is that it has an MRT Catted H midpipe. THe current owner no longer has the original midpipe so I do not have the option of swapping it back on for the emissions test.

As it has cats I am fairly confident that it will pass the visual check but I am concerned that it will not pass the sniffer test. Can anyone that has tried to smog a mustang with an MRT catted H confirm this for me?

I did search at length but did not find any definitive answers

Thanks!
C

well, I passed emisions with a slp catted x, so i dont think there'd be a problem, I wasn't anywhere near being a gross polluter either.

Yeah, I passed emissions with a catted prochamber with flying colors. As long as it has cats (high flow cats are better) it should be no problem. And if it does, I can sell you my stock midpipe

P.S. My friend's GT has an MRT mid pipe and hasn't had an issue with emissions either.

You won't smell fumes from a catted midpipe.. it's the offroad midpipes that have no cats that give off the smell of gasoline.
