Whooshing noise under hood

Whooshing noise under hood
So a guy down the street just got a 97 GT and I had some parts laying around for the takeing. I gave him a trick flow upper plenum, ford 70mm throttle body, a bbk cold air intake, and a flowmaster cat back. The thing is that now after he got all the parts on the car is making a sucking noise from under the fenderwell ( especially at idle to low throttle) you can even hear it inside the car. I don't ever remember it being that loud on my car. I helped him check for vaccume leaks with starting fluid, and after you turn it off it lets off a exhaling noise from the CAI....what is going on here. Is my memory this bad or is this normal? At idle it sounds like the novi 2000 just sucking up air

RE: Whooshing noise under hood
If the car is running normally and not idling funny etc then it can't be a vac leak... if it was that bad (noise wise) you would know it from the idle/how it ran. Its probably ok.

RE: Whooshing noise under hood
I really don't think this thing is normal. I come from the school of if it makes noise turn the radio up....well this thing has to have the radio blaring. It wasn't like this right after the install he said....just started about a day after....so I really don't know.
