Default ? on installing k&n fipk

I just installed my k&n fipk today, am i suppose to disconnect the battery and then drive the car after for the computer to learn the new air flow or will it learn on its own from driving without disconnecting the battery?

read the directions... prolly says to disconnect the battery.

yep, disconnect battery while you're doing the install... Then, re-connect, start it up and let it idle for 10 minutes or so. Shut it off, turn it on, drive around...should be fine.
