Default A gear question of my own

I'm debating whether I should get 4.10s right now. I'm going to college next year, so just trying to save up money. That being said, I still would like to get gears b/c they seem so badass.

The gears themselves don't seem to cost much (found them for around $150), but the install is what is going to kill me I think. Can I get a rough estimate on avg cost for gears?

Also will I need to get my car tuned or will the install and the speedo recal be sufficient?

Ugh, I need more money []

a tune would be nice..... iwould suggest the diablosport predator.......but a spedo calbration would b fine

as far as gears....its would b about 400$ with install ...... i would suggest motive gears bc there good quality and cheaper then ford racing

thanks dood. Is that $400 include the speedo? I don't really mind the $40 or so diff between FRPP and motive, this is something I would rather not cut a corner on. But i'm not sure if i'll be able to shell out anymore than about $400 for the whole thing. I *have* the funds to do it, but the smart and wise thing is to save up for college, but who wants to be smart

I know exactly how you feel man. I'm going to college next year too and my mom has been nagging at me to save my money, but I've got MOD FEVER!!

I also have to pay half of a senior trip to Cancun in may so I should probably start paying the rest of that off soon too.... lol

The gear install cost me $220.00 and my gears (3.73's) less than $100.00 ebay. You might want to shop around with diff. mechanics and see who would do it cheaper than $400.00 Good luck on your new mods.

Same old same old, "cheap to buy, not so cheap to install, def. do it but don't do it urself." *the usual discussion* Get those gears man, who needs an english book, screw that

ack, thanks for the not so great update lol.

Ugh, I want the gears so bad. Stupid college expense [:@]

We'll see I guess, i'll call around and see what they are charging now, if everything falls under $400, i'll strongly consider it.
