For a color swap to black, depending on how far you go with it and who you take it to, it will be at least $2000.

Since it is a complete color swap and they will have to paint inside doors, under hood, inside trunk, etc..... It wont be cheap. For a good one, I would think not less than$3500

when you change the color of you car do you have to notify dmv?

I just got a quote on mine and it was $3,000 and that included taking out one door ding.

Don't change colors. You'll ruin the value of the car and it will look horrible under the hood/jambs/trunk etc...
