ok so i have a 98 stang with the 4.6 and i was thanking about bulding a 347 stroker all i need is the eagle kit wich i could pick one up for about 850 bucks i have a 560 lift comp cam 1.6 roller rockers victor jr manifold750holley double pumper carburetorand im going to get afr aluminum heads i have all the msd stuf. and would my trans fit???? tell me what u all thank about this idea.

No Mod Motor Transmissions do not bolt up to Pushrod Motors. If you want to go pushrod you will need to get the K-member from a 94/95 GT

Just make sure you know this: If the most involved thing you have done before is a CAI install... you have no chance of pulling it off without paying for labor.

Lots and lots of things that could go wrong.

I converted a 96 from a 3.8 auto to a 5.0 5 speed. Lots of work. I got it to run, but I tried to build the motor to much, and could never get it tunned right. I needed about another 600.00 bucks to finish it and make it run right, and I called it quits. I had about 5,000.00 in the whole project, but that was a rebuilt 302 to a 306 with the trickflow stage 1 H/C/I with all the supporting mods. I also only paid 200.00 for the car. The wiring was the worst part. getting the 5.0 in there was cake.

After I parted that out, I bought a 96GT with a 4.6.

i have one more ? my 4.6 is makeing a tapping sound fromthe top of the motor only when it is hot and over 2000 rpms im thanking its a lifter any ideas
