MAF Question

So this is my second post on the site, and i will appologize again for not being overly technical so simple explanations are great :P :) I currently have a Steeda cold air intake installed on my 03 GT. I want to change the stock MAF. I did this once beforeon my 95 V6. It ran just fine andnow i would like to do itagain to my 03 GT.My question is does anyone have the steeda cold air intake installed, and does changing the stock MAF for a 90mm MAF cause the filter portion of the intake not to fit. I know this is a fairly specific question, but i would appreciate the help. Thanks again.

Why do you want to change out the stock MAF? It's good for anything you can do with bolt-ons, and generally won't peg until 300+ rwHP...

RE: MAF Question

Thats what i didnt know. Im not at 300 yet, id like to be at some point but i have a ways to go. I changed my v6 one because it came with the CAI i ordered and it seemed to give a nice boost to the engines ability to breath. That was my driver to doing it again with my 03. Thanks for the info man :)

RE: MAF Question

its going to be pointless to change your MAF at this time, and its more than likely going to throw off the ECU, which will require a retune. Don't do it, save your money for something else.

If you "eventually" hit the point where you need it then do it then... at this point its literally going to add nothing and probably cause plenty of headaches anyway.
