Default My new setup and gas milage?

I got my car back friday evening with new 4:10's installed. I took here home and put in a diablo tune, SLP Loudmouth II, and JLT cai. Sunday evening I took her for a test spin, and took off smooth and hard, and in second gear lit my tires up 3 times. Now I am second guessing my new nitto's.

This morning I take her to work concentrating on gas mileage because I live 31 miles from work. I could almost actually see the needle moving. When I leave for work, same thing, only once she reaches operating temp in the middle of the day she stops drinking and starts sipping.

Could this be the combination of real cold air in the early morning all the way to work, and the real cold operating temp befor warming up in the middle of the day? I was thinking early this morning it was gears, but after the warm running gas milage, I started wondering if the combination of the JLT, and diablo tune was pushing some fuel?
All feedback is welcome!

I hope you are right. I can not believe you get 23mpg with 4:30's. I only got 25mpg with my stock setup.

Are you allowing the proper time for your car to warm up before moving? If your O2s dont heat up before moving, they send false readings and hurt mileage

I also get good mileage with 4.30's I skip gears when I am worried about fuel economy and it helps alot being in fifth gear at 35 ish down main street gets me great mpg.I get an average of 22 on freeway and when I am having fun not worried about mileage itsreally badlike 10-12 mpg average.

No I don't let my O2's warm up at all. I really had never knew they made that kind of difference.

And it is great to hear all these reports of good milage.

If its real cold..the oil will be somewhat thicker and harder to move so your motor has to use more power. if see what im getting at

i hope you broke in your gears before you started lighting your tires up cuz that could be bad. anyways i get about 25 miles on my stock setup but i have a stick. do you have an auto or manual... sticks usually get a mile or two better over an auto

I told the gentleman the installed them I would give them about three hundred miles to break them in, and he told me that would be enough, but that if I got on it a couple time it would be ok. And I have an auto.
