I have this 2k rpm buzzzzzzz that's driving me crazy. I had the rear seat down awhile ago and it's definitely coming from the rear. Took the spare tire and jack and everything out thinking that was vibrating. That wasn't it. So what does an exhaust leak sound like exactly? I'm trying to narrow things down.

Another thing is it's ONLY under acceleration that it does this. Idling and revving the engine it doesn't make any sound at all. IF it were exhaust related wouldn't it do it at idle too? confused.

ive never heard a ticking exhaust leak [&:]

any exhaust leak ive heard just sounds REALLY raspy, no tone, just pure rasp. if the exhaust leak is small enough i'd imagine it being possible to only be able to hear it under acceleration.

I had a a mid pipe nut come off where it connects to the header...left about 1/3 inch gap on half and it sounded like a very loud"puff" ..my exhaust got louder and was sorta "poppy". I'm sure a crack in a weld or a loose clap would sound a little diff though..
