Ford's ingenious design was to vent crankcase gases back through the intake (and your blower in some cases) so that will happen. pick up a catch can for 40 bucks on ebay and it's fixed. This is the only time I would think about running seafoam through the car (in this case all the way from the filter) to clear all the gunk that might be on your impeller and ****.
There's no oil in the S/C or any of my lines. Only in my pcv tube and my intake. I would never use seafoam on my enigne. On my old DSM, sure, but not the Mustang.

I actually made a catch can for my Eclipse and I still have it. Should it be vented or not vented?

I'd say vented, since you're going to have more than average pressure.. What was the set up on the DSM??

Are you burning any oil, or smoking at all??

Oxfordgt was explaining this awhile back. If it's just vent there won't be enough pull to full utilize the set up. If it's hooked back into the intake system, the engine vacuum will aid in this. It would be using the system like it was originally designed to do, just with an oil catch.

12.70's with the basic bolt ons exhaust and boost controler.

ORIGINAL: New Question
Vented or Not
Can't vented create issues with the BPV?

Basically, it doesn't allow enough pressure out if it's just vented. That's my understanding

That makes sense... I'll do a look up on his thread..

I figured that with vented it would create more of a vacuum than not, since it'd have room for the gases to escape, leaving the oil there.. Another problem though with vented, is the residue that's let out of the vent can make a mess sometimes, especially if you've got that much pressure...

Sounds like Lightning syndrome......Thanks FORD!!!!

I just deleted my PCV system and run breathers......Gotta clean the filters regularly but it is worth not having oil on my intercooler ribs.

How do you delete the PCV?
