Engine question - need response ASAP
Hey,
So I just finished doing my PI swap and I'm going to fire her up in a little bit. Chilton's says I should pull the boots off the spark plug and leave the fuel pump off and crank it over a few times to build up oil pressure, then reattach the boots and fuel pump and fire it up. Does this sound right?
Thanks!

congrats on the pi-swap! you're gonna have a big ol smile on your face, when you feel the horses you picked up.
im sure one of these guys on here that did the pi swap will know the answer to your question. just wanted to say congrats, and let us know how she feels after you get a chance to drive her!!

I just fired it up after the swap. Oil pressure will build up in a minute or so. It'll be loud until then, so don't freak out. Congrats... And by the way, get a tune! Ha ha.

Of course I can't get to mustangforums.com from my house >.> (Posted it at work, left for home 10 mins later and couldn't check it when I got home). I did this and it fired right up on the first try. Definitely going to get a tune... Are the canned tunes from bamachips or brenspeed any good for a PI swapped car? or is a dyno tune better
