Default Supercharger question...

With my current car and mods (see signature) could I throw on a s/c kit without doing any internal engine work? Like forged pistons or new heads and such.

even a 100 percent stock car is fine with a blower, its all in the tune and boost level. Keep it at 8-10 PSI and get a good tune.

Thanks for the reply. Could you make a guess as to how much RWHP it would make with a S/C at that boost level and my current mods? Thanks again.

Ya thats about what I figured I would get without cracking open the motor. BTW, where did you get that stainless coolant reservoir? I want to get a new one for my car because that damn low coolant sensor is bad, so the stupid light is constantly showing on my dash. Does yours have the sensor in it?

Ummm, I'm hoping that you missed the part where he said with my mods and a S/C.

OP you should be anywhere from 330-350rwhp @8psi and 360-380rwhp @10psi. It also depends on if you are intercooled or not.
I wouldn't recommend anything higher than 10psi on the stock shortblock.

edit: spelling

I got the tank from rpmoutlet. and no it doesnt have the sensor, it eliminates it.

Are you joking? You do know we're dealing with a 98 GT with an x pipe and flowmasters right?

Didn't realize he was NPI. But he should still be in the 300s no problem. Definitely @10psi.
