Default Removing Headrest on seats

I've got a 2000 Mustang GT. I'm usually putting god at figuring things out when I need to rip something apart and change things. I can't figure out how to remove the headreast on the front seats. Is there a special clip to slide down into the headrest neck and release something??? Has anyone done this before to theres? Thanks for any info. Only reason I'm asking is I'm shipping the seats since I just sold them. If I ship them at a height of 38" the price is doubled. But if I take the headrest off and lay it in the seat, it'll be 34" which cuts the shipping cost in half. Isn't that nuts? lol. Anyway, I"ll probably contact the delarship tomorrow and ask them. I don't want to get frustrated trying to do it myself and break something off.

Default RE: Removing Headrest on seats

Enlighten us? I did it on my company truck, 2004 silverado. I had to take it off to put the seat covers on. I was about to take a hack saw to it cause it was pissing me off. It turns out i had to put a paper clip into a hole to release the lock then it slid right out.

Is it the same for our stangs?
