abs and traction control light both turn on???

abs and traction control light both turn on???
lately my abs light will come on and also my traction control light comes on at the same time. i changed my front brakes myself and my uncle whos a break specialist checked it to make sure i did everything ok and he doesnt know why the lights are commin on. but could that have anything to do with them coming on? what does the abs light mean? and why do both turn on at the same time?? thanks alot guys

see if you can get someone to scan the abs system so you know where the problem is. if it is just a sensor scanning will tell you which one. they also act up and misread if dirty, like if you used too much anti-sieze and got some on it when doing brake work. sensor should be right behind rotor, just a magnetic sensor that reads metal teath off the rotor.
