Gears...
I know the gear topics have been beat to death and I am sorry...
I really want to do a 4.10, anyone have any reasons why/why not to do them?
Should I go more or less?
I am going to be ordering a 4.10 in an hour if no one posts... if you know where to get one for cheep let me know...
Do I need to get the rebuild kit if I only have 40k on my car? Or is there anything else you guys can think of that I would need to get?

RE: Gears...
What would a heavy right foot have to do with anything? Gas Millage? I heard that if I drive it right then it will only be like 2 mpg less then the stock gear... ???
I do about 30 miles a day mostly on the highway....
Best gear out there a FRPP gear?

RE: Gears...
Yea if you are prone to mashing the gas pedal alot, you might want to get 3.73s, unless you don't care about gas prices lol.
If you drive normal, you'll be fine.
The best is FRPP, but I personally have only seen a few ppl complain about Motive (gear whine), which could be due to installing them badly, I dont know. I would just pay the extra and get FRPP, but its up to you.
30 miles a day on the highway isn't bad, just remember that the more highway driving you do, the worse your mileage will be. Not to a great extent, but it will go down a bit.

RE: Gears...
You can actually get better gas milege with gears (not on the h-way). For daily driving, if you shift at low rpms, you can get better gas milege because you will be in 4th or 5th gear a lot more often. But if you push it hard all the time, of course your gas milege will go down. Highway driving won't be too bad, just take it easy. Go with 4.10s, you won't regret it.

RE: Gears...
Just get the 4.10's and not worry about it later on down the road. My dumb *** bought a 3.73 and now i want the 4.10's. If your spending $200 on gears, you might as well do it once and be done with it!
