Default Steeda Tri-Ax 5th gear grinding? Why?!

Just installed my tri-ax. All shifts are smooth except for 5th. Four out of five times I shifted in to 5th it made a grinding noise. The fifth and last time before I parked it that I shifted in to 5th it didn't do it. Is this like a break in period or something??? Did I do something wrong? Faulty shifter? I followed the instructions and installed it as they said. I even have the stop bolts a hair more gap between them and the shift lever to be safe. My old shifter never did this and it's been garaged since. What gives?

cuz its telling you to get an MGW haha. it wouldn't be the shift stoppers because they would be effecting every shift to the top not just the last one. and the only break in period is to get the shifter to move BUT it should not be grinding. like it took a week or two for my MGW to shift smoothly but like i said there was no grinding. maybe try changing your tranny fluid. that would be the cheapest possible fix

Changing your fluid won't stop your gears from grinding. Gears are more prone to grinding because of the shoft throw shifter. Shift slower or get used to it .

I was shifting it easy. So it grinding in to 5th won't hurt anything or is that sarcasm?
