Default Gears

Which gears would be the best for my 98GT, 3.73's or 4.10's. Im planning on staying NA except for the few passes on the track with Nitrous, if it matters when changing gears.

Go with the 4.10's if you are only going to use the nos on the track.

Everyone will say go with Ford gears, but I put some Bullett gears on myself and there's no whine at all until 5th gear, and it's hardly noticable. You just need to have them shimmed right for it not to whine. However, I believe Ford Racing gears don't require any shimming, and you can just use the stock shim it comes with, so it would save the person installing the gears like 5 min. cause that's all it takes to figure out how much to shim.

ehhh, I might be dropping down to a 373 or 390 from my 4.10's. Freeway driving sucks in an auto[:'(]

Im also debating wether I want 3.73s or 4.10s... 3.90s may be a nice alternatives.

I would go with 4.10s but am afriad of the freeway driving. I will be doing a lot of freeway drving coming home from college next fall....

Im afraid though if I go with a 3.73 it wont be enough to satisfy me... So a 3.90 might be the right choice
