I can't really remember but do i need to have my stang started when checking my tranny fluid. I lost my owners manual. Its a 03 Mustang GT Auto.

You need to check your tranny fluid after you've been driving it around and I've always been told to check the transmission with the motor running and check the oil with the motor turned off.

yea i checked the transmission fluid it was down half a liter. i added some and it still seems to be slipping in OD so i am going to have to get it rebuilt which is crap. I am going to add some heavy duty to it with a valve body and a higher stall torque and also some heavy duty clutches. I am going to be running it at the track this summer it also blown and other mods. I fear if i just rebuild it stock i will be in the same boat before the season is out.
