Default a couple questions

i have a UPR CAI installed and was wondering if i had to do anything to the filter every once in a while? like take it out and clean it...im thinking it might be the cause of my sucky gas mileage. Also, would changing the plugs and plug wires and fuel filter help it to? i only have 40K miles on it.

Second question. CAMS. throwing around the idea. which ones are the best? and ive seen stange 1,2,3...what are the different stages? and if i get cams would i have to get new heads to go with them?

thanks for all the help!

I don't know if UPR's filters are washable. You don't have plug wires, you have individual coils on each spark plug (coil on plug aka COP). And changing them out at 40K isn't needed. Ford calls for them to be changed at 100,000 miles. I put a new fuel filter on every third oil change. And as for cams, use the search function. Talking about cams can be lengthy. There's a lot of information.

Injectors won't yield better fuel economy.
