Please Help tuner question for mods.
Ok I am starting over Kind of..... I was going to do A engine build in june (Heads, Cam, Block and spray it with a 150 shot)... But if its not broke why fix it....I havnt blown it yet.
So I have decided to do something this summer that will be much needed next summer '09!
I am going to do a new tranny, suspension and rearend. I am going to go with a c4 tranny... I think is what it was called... Able to hold up to 1000hp..for like $1600 and Im going to go with the 8.8 rear end with Steeda LSD and 4.30 gears for like $1,000 Installed, and I havnt decides on what rear susppension to go with (already Have front with just BBk springs in the back)but with it and subframe connectors shouldnt be more than $1200 and I will be running M/T DRs I already have.
So here Is my question... Im going o push my motor to the max.... About 415whp with some nice old go fast juice. I am going to go get It dyno tuned for everything and I am going to Use the SCT Livewire as my tunner to switch from No2 to n/a. Is this a good tuner for $500????
And with this set up what should I expect my 1/4 mile times to be?
k&n cold air
bbk 70mm TB
BBk Shorty headers
BBk off road x-pipe
flowmasters american thunders
(thinking abou switching all exhaust to SLP Loudmouth II, SLP o/r X-pipe, SLP LT headers, Dont know if its worth the extra $1200)
New Tranny
New rearend with 4.30 gear and LSD
Suspension mods and Drag radials
DynoTune
and....
150-175 shot of good old wet Nitrous Oxide Systems (NOS or Nawwwwzzzzzzz)
Then If I dont blow It by last open track day... Its geting hit with a 225 shot just to see what i runs.. if it makes it then It will be geting A fully forged alum block, 4v stage III heads and cam. both good for up to 800hpFuel upgrade and a procharger running enough boost to take it to abot 700whp or more. already picked up just have to wait for some money comming to me in December.
Well let me know... BTW its all money I have earned through the military, Im not a mommy and daddy boy.

150 shot is skating on the edge with a non-forged 4.6.
you wont see much benefit changing the catback, but going from shorties to long tubes you will get some power.
that rear end 31 spline?
