Default 4.6 engine swap, 04 into 96; help please

I have a 96 4.6 and I have aquired a complete, new 2004 GT engine as a replacement.
The major difference is the ignition; Whereas I had 2 coilpacks, one for each bank, the new engine has 8 individual coils and each is wired into the wiring loom. Not sure of the best way to go.
Also I am in Calif. so trying to keep things sort of smog legal

The ONLY thing you'll use in the swap is the Long block and accessories. You'll keep your Return style fuel, Wiring harness, 2 Coil packs and Wires... Think of it as the same motor... Taking bad one out putting the new one in. AND you wont fail emission visual inspection because the engines look almost identical. (they use a black and white picture) Only piece of good advise I can give is if your A/C works, then unbolt the pump from the block leaning everything connected and bolt it back up to the new engine and you wont have to refill you A/C.

Both are Romeo's so you wont need a new clutch like I did.

One more thing, You may want to find a tunner that can give your ECU the fuel maps for the improved head and Cam design. I drove around with my like that for about 4 months with no issues.

So I assume that you also mean I need to use my old intake and injectors?
Thanks for the A/C tip, I was going to try it that way.

No, new Intake "old Injectors" sorry if I wasn't clear. Don't know if you know it or not but your going to pick up 60 hp with that engine swap. I actually gained 81 with a tune. The intake is a better design and gives you a few more ponies.

Everything fuel, electrical, and spark related stay the same.
