Header gasket leaking, easyest replacement?
the passenger side header gasket is leaking on my 2002 gt and was wondering what the easyest way to replace it is, i dont want to have to drop the k-member. and what gasket should i use to replace it with, my headers are BBK shorties.

i believe your gonna have to drop the k member. its gonna be the same procedures as installing new headers...but your not changing the headers. you can unbolt the motor mounts and lift the motor up too, but everyone said thats harder than just dropping the k member.
when i bought my LT's people told me to get percy's gaskets, they are THICK and they say they are re-usable. looked good but im selling them, mustang wont ever be fast enuff for me so i'm getting a bike...gotta sell all the parts i have laying around.

sorry buddy, you need to drop the k member. i just had the same problem with mine. i had a loud anouning leak on the left side. i had it up on a lift and tightened down all the bolts i could reach (3 feet of extensions, a swivel, wheel and liner, and oil filteroff) but my gasket was worn. the k drop is too much over my head so i had it done. i used mr gaskets, gaskets
