Hello,
I work for a professor part time right now and i am setting up a single cylinder test engine. It happens to be the same stroke and bore as a ford 4.6L. He would like to boost the compression ratio for some of the test and it looks like the best way would be to use a domed piston. I have not been able to find any and was wondering if any of you have a link to a supplier that sells them.

errrr... keith black, eagle, probe, just to name a few.

Why don't you take the head and put it on a belt sander and mill it down a few tenths. Should raise the compression some.

it is not a ford head and it looks like there will be an issue with the valves if we take much off

You could try Lethal Performance, I know they sell several types of heads.. Or Steeda, or D'Agostino Racing, or JEGS.. There's probably more, but I don't know if you've tried any of these yet..

You won't likely find ANY domed mod-motor pistons as shelf stock pieces...they will likely have to be custom made with a dome.
