So I installed bbk pulleys in my 2004 mustang gt auto about 2 weeks ago. And a few days ago I changed my oil did regular maintenace and flushed the motor. Well I went to chevron an put supreme in it and 4 -5 min later the car started hiccuping and check engine light came on and off and the car was running like ****? then I turned it off and turned it back on and light was gone car ran fine. I ran it again at the races a few days ago and did the "1 2 D"thing with my shifter. And light was blinking than stayed on for awhile. Next day it went off? Any idea guys? Someone said it might of been a small vacuum leak? Im stomped..

Blinking CEL = Misfire in one or more of your cylinders. Not good at all. I would check all your plugs and coils to make sure everything is hooked up and all.

i had a prob with my engine light also, it was doing it when i was downshifting from 5th to 4th, it did it forlike 3 days after i bought the car. i didnt take it in cuz the light came on for like 3 seconds along with the battery light, and then they went off and stayed off, but it hasnt did it in weeks so i think i am ok (knock on wood). i was puzzled but i posted a forum on here and was helped out! but really i read urs and im stumped really! i would at least have the code checked tho just to be on the safe side!
