lol...oh ok...
the reason im asking about the 5.4 is because im in the process of doing the swap..
i had planned on just doing a pi swap on my current motor so i bought some romeo pi's....but know i am going for the 5.4 and i don't think those romeos will work...so if anyone wants to trade a set of windsors for some romeos pm me...lol

Not 100% on this, but I think the early romeos and windsors had the 4 threaded spark plug holes instead of the 8 that come on the current production romeos.

Romeo and Windsor headsare interchangeabe (just need the correct valve covers). You can use either type of head on your 5.4. I have a romeo shortblock and windsor heads in my car right now...

What is the vin code for the Windsor and Romeo. My buddy is a Tbird guy and told me that the Windsor block is an X in the 8th digit of the vin and the Romeo is a W, which sounds backwards to me.

Sounds backwards, but its correct. VIN X is Windsor ans W is Romeo.

ok...well i am pretty sure that all sn95's with the 4.6 come with romeo heads correct?

'94 - '04 Mustangs are all SN-95. I'm running my stock Romeo block with Windsor PI 5.4L heads with no problems. Romeo VIN is an X.

I'm a 96 and I'm a x code. I was also a Romeo because all 96-98 were romeos.

The 8th digit in the Vin, or the letter "X" [hr] ...means your Mustang is equipped wth a 4.6 V8, NOTHING ELSE...
