Default Windsor and Romeos!!!

ok...well i am pretty sure that all sn95's with the 4.6 come with romeo heads correct? the reason im asking is because i went to o'reillys and autozone both looking for valve cover gaskets and they kept giving me windsor gaskets...so what are the years that windsor heads came out...i thought it was just 99-00...but idk now.

i was also wondering about what heads are the 5.4L's and what head came with what year...don't know if yall will know much about that but just thought i'd ask.

thanks in advance!

96-98 Romeo, 99-00Windsor, 01-04 Romeo

Im pretty sure all 5.4s are Windsor, but don't quote me on that.

To add to Mark99GT said within respect to the years:

Different castings and bolt pattern on the valve covers, crank (6bolt vs 8bolt) and timing assembly. They are both the same in performance. W have pressed on cam gears, Romeo's are bolt on.

I have been told a little rumor that W engines have a slightly thicker piston crown, but I do not know for a fact.

I say that b/c that's what I have

There's no noticable difference. Just messing around. I don't know about the 5.4's.
