my power rack went in my 96' gt is it worth the gain to elim.the pump and switch to a maunual rack? if so does anyone have a round about idea of the gain?
i helped my buddy do it in a 5.0 and he was expecting around 15hp

no, your brake booster also runs off your power steering pump, so converting it over would be way more than you would probably bargain for. A reman. rack or flaming river rack will be just fine.

hey thanks, i had to drive it just now and i think its prob. the pump or a hose. there was just so much fluid that sprayed out i couldnt tell at first,but i did notice the brakes being squishy too
