Im purchasing 3.73s combo for my auto from AM pretty soon . When you run diablo tuner do you have to run 91 octane? or is it just recommended if you advance the spark on it.

The tuner will let you select what grade of fuel you will be running.[/align][/align]My 2ยข worth is that you run the highest grade you can get. Here in Florida that's 93 octane whichcosts whopping 20ยข a gallon more ($3.80 last I looked) than 87 ($3.60). So if I was to buy 15 gallons it would cost $57 rather than $54--whooptee-doo...[/align]

well i have the Diablo Tuner, im running its Performance Tune and i run on 87 Octane, no problems here at all. Yes i believe you are correct about the spark advancement. i wouldnt run 91-93 unless you get a dyno tune and they recommend it.

The Diablo Tuner doesnt come with a fuel grade selection. you get 2 tuning options, Factory HP tune and Performance tune.

It's up to you but I would suggest going by what diablo sport says to run.. at least 91 octane..... I always tell people .. why try and save a couple bucks when it might end up costing you thousands to fix.

Thanks guys. I didnt really read Diablo manual when I had my V6 . I didnt see it said that 91 is recommended. Thanks for the input

except the predator actually works, had a fuego tuned onece and wouldnt let you modify anything. sent it back and went with diablosport.

I had a Fuego, the tuning part wasn't that bad (got me to 246 HP with basic colt-ons), however contrary to what they continue to advertise it does NOT datalog, is not "updatable over the Internet", and there is no PC interface software for it...[/align][/align]The Sniper SF package is the way to go if you want to do it yourself and are willing to learn what to do.[/align]
