Default WOW, 4.10s intalled!

Holy ****, get the 4.10s!! This car should have came with these gears. I got teh motive gears by the way and there is NO whine whatsoever!!!!!!!!! First gear is way too fun now, and second is like first used to be. I can now chirp third gear like I used ti chirp second. My speedo is off by 20 mph now and fifth gear is a must when crusing anywhere above 45mph. Other than that, the acceleration is way better than stock and well worth the $$. If this isn't your first mod you do, IT SHOULD BE YOUR SECOND@@!! Esspecially if you are getting used to the way your GT accelerates and you are bored with it. This will change your mind for sure. Got my motive gears for $132 shipped to my house from mustangtuning.com. Got them installed from a local guy for $200 with no issues!!! GET GEARS!!! and a programmer to fix the speedo.

Jiggy if youll use and want the programmer for other reasons by all means get it their great tools but f all you want it for is the seedo change you can get a "SpeedCal" for about 100$ that plugs in and is hidden behind a panel which can correct for gears tire size and all that.... just saves some money if your not wanting to get a full programmer

Just one more added noteDIOO2001GT.. I have had my 4.10 for almost a year and I still love them 4.30 would be a nice boost in the kick but gas prices keep me from swapping them right now...

is there that big of a difference? i mean it'll be another 150 bux for the gears and ten another 200 for the install.

if you mean in gas mileage? between 4.10 and 4.30 probably not but i keep it in my head to help keep me satisfied with 4.10.... so i can spend the money i would on another swap on more bolt ons...

im just going with 3.73's in my stang. i already am always on the gas. dont see how i can afford the mileage of 4.10's. also have other plans for the motor one day.... ive got one question right now though... i dont have much money right now... only 170 bucks... so should i buy some gears or just get some underdrive pullies? i know i will notice more from the gears but i would have to save like 250 up for the install. not sure which would be easier for me. probably jsut buy some gears.... what brand do you all think is good? i dont want to have gear whine. i was thinkin of the FFRP gears cause they are from ford... where is the place to get gears for the best price. i want to save some money.

FFRP is what i have and they aregreat no whine at all... from experiance i would say get the gears first and the milage change to 4.10 really isnt that bad

you will love the kick gears give your ride and 4.10 even still have a decent highway range as long as you dont fly around at 90-100 all the time i can maintain 80 maybe a little more and only a small MPG drop over stock
