I remember having my '86 Capri 5.0 up to 130, and that car was stock and rated at 200hp at the crank. One would assume a GT could easily get into the 140's. Damn.........I had my VQ Altima up to 138 a few months ago and had plenty left ( well maybe not plenty) then ran out of road.

Ive got just a hair before the 150 mark before i had to slow down bone stock. So im guessing about 148. I think it would have pushed those extra 2 mph but who knows. It was climbin pretty slow after the 140 mark.

I still had plenty of pull and I was only making the stock 215fwhp with my NPI. I also had 2:73 gears too so that can explain a lot. It's funny I thought I had such a fast car. Fast yes, Quck No, lol 15.7 @ 84mph

i've had mine to about 135 once or twice that was enough for me felt like it had more just scared of cops

hey man, at 135 and you stopped cause of cops? Your already in a world of **** if they see you, so that extra 10-15 mph aint going to hurt. but yeah ive had it to 145... took a bit though. was i worried bout cops? no. the crown vics dont stand a chance in turning around and catching up to a car already doing 140. lol. i wouldve just dipped off the next exit coming up.
