Default Exhaust Leak

Ok this has been going on for some time now but Im pretty sure I have an exhaust leak. It seems to be coming from my drivers side header. Now im not sure what I should do because money is tight right now ive tried tightening the bolts down and it helps for about a week but after that its seems to come right back. I think i need new gaskets. Does anyone know how much a good pair would cost me and how much would it cost to put them in, or how hard is it to do myself??

gaskets are not very expensive....im not 100% sure, but im guessing one gasket would cost you 5-10dollars? as far as doing the job yourself. you have been under there and tightened things up already, so you pretty much know what you are up against. now it would just be a matter of unbolting, putting on new gasket, then bolt it back up.

well i have the same problem.. tightening the exhaust up worked a little bit but its not the fix... i recall somebody telling me that they grinded down the driver side x-pipe to kinda get it to fit with the driver side header much better... the drivers side header does not have a gasket i dont think.. the passenger side does. so getting a new gasket to fix the leak wont help.. my leak is also on the drivers side and i will probably just bring it in to the shop, lift it up, and fix it with my buddy.. it'll prob b an all day thing

When i installed my Mac Pro Chamber i had this issue. My problem was the bolt plate on the midpipe...it sorta slides up the pipe when you bolt it to the header. In my case i had to weld the sliding plate to the midpipe so it was permanenty mounted. This fixed my problem.
