How many miles do the nitto 555r drag radial last. Let me rephrase, how long under normal driving conditions (street use mainly) do they last? Just curious... im about to order the Chrome fr 500's and some new tires to go along with them so if people are getting 8-10 k out of them im going to order them. If not it will be the regular street tires.

get the street ET's a million times better tire and they last long my friends got them on TT 300ZX and hes got 5K on them with over 30 passes and they still got like 50% and he runs 1.7 on them all day will be running them on my stang

Only thing is they don't have those at american muscle... i was just going to order everything from them so i don't have to worry about getting them mounted and balanced and all that jazz! I use to have a 1991 300zx tt, i just sold it back in august of last year. I miss that car. Anyways thats beside the point.

i got mine in Feb and I may have about 3 months left on mine. I def have to find a longer lasting tire.

Americanmuscle say the 555R's last 15K. I would say if you wanted to drive normal then don't get the 555R's just get a high performance tire.
I have 315's on the back of mine that are HRT-Z's for just normal driving and the 555R's are for the track. I feel as though i don't need the DR's for everyday driving since i don't launch and drive like an A$$ at stop lights. just my .2

I have the answer! I've been using them for about 5 years. I usually get 12k~15k miles with some passes at the track. I didn't check out your mods, but I'd guess that I may make a little more power so if I were you I'd expect to see about 15k miles. I also sell mine on eBay when then get close to bald and usually get $100/ pair + shipping for my 315's.

LOL... yea i believe you do a few more mods than i do. 12-15k Dang i think i could live with that. Thanks for the input guys.

I have always heard that people get anywhere from 8-14k out of the 555r's. I am running them now and will probably keep ordering them. I do only drive about 6-7k miles a year though.

On a side note, chrome FR's are going to look amazing on your car.

This is my 5th set over 5 years and I avg 10-14K. I dont care what nobody says 555R's are the best overrall performingDR tire in terms of treadlife, rain performance and grip. The new ET street radials do come with 6/32 tread depth, so they might last pretty good and would be a bit stickier...waiting for some people to comment on them though, so for now Ill stick with the nittos.
