You only making around 180rwhp, sorry. Thats what I made with exhaust and a tune. PI full ENIGINE SWAP. Head swap is stupid.
You're stupid[8D]

It depends on if he can do the work himself, if he can't then PI engine swap is best because you might as well do that because it takes awhile to dismantle the top end and everything and put crap back on as it would take awhile to just disconnect the engine from car/tranny. PI head/intake swap if he can do it himself, PI engine swap if he can't.

A engine swap is easier than a head swap! Ever timed 4.6's cams? A PI engine is plug and play.

I paid 800$ for my 99 PI engine with only 30k on the clock. The only thing extra I had to buy was a clutch because of the 6 bolt 8 bolt, W vs V.

oh only reason why i was saying that was the PI head/intake swap would be cheaper so if you knew how to do the labor yourself it'd be cheapest route. But yeah that's why Isaid about if he didn't know how to do it, cuase ripping heads off and dealing with those cam chains suck

I gained 72 rwhp from my PI swap and tune. If I were you I'd look around for a whole PI engine. It's a lot easier to swap an engine than to pull it apart and swap heads, cams, and intake.

I understand. I just think that gaining life on a full motor by buying one with less miles and keeping stock compression for the possibility of super charging later is a good decision. Less compression also helps lower the gas bill which pay or may not affect his decision on the mod. Also it's so easy to pull a motor a cave man could do it.

Im in the process of a PI swap as we speak. But I am just switching the cams and intake, and leaving the NPI heads on. That way, I can go FI later safley.

Cost:

Brand New PI Cams - 75.00
Intake with Aluminum X-over - 95.00
Brand new PI springs and retainers - 20.00
Gaskets Needed - 80.00
Coolant pipe and water pump nipple - 50.00

Total = 320.00

I've read I will only be out about 10-15hp by keeping the NPI heads, but I can boost more later
