Tranny Help Fast!

So I was driving my 96 gt with AOD transmission, and was flooring it just for a quick second and right afterI hit secong gear, the car downshifted. So I backed off the throttle, and now every time it is in first gear, it will rev up to about 3300rpms before it shifts to second. Can someone tell me what happened and how In can fix it?

i have a 96 gt w/ aode. mine wouldn't shift out of 1st till a high rpm and if you where just cruising around and floored it the tranny would slip and the motor would rev up like you put it in neutral. tranny guy checked it out and the thing was trashed inside and needed completely rebuilt.

The same thing happened to my car, but all it took to fix it was a 5 or 6 dollar spring from ford, it went inside the valve body
