Default 275/40/17 Rubbing in Rear

Hi all,

I am having some issues with my 275/40/17 BFG Drag Radials rubbing on the lower edge of my rear inner wheel well. The rubbing is not very severe and it only happens when backing down or going up my driveway. My driveway is not very steep, so I am surprised it is happening. My 275's are mounted on 17X9 Bullitt rims. The car has been lowered slightly since it has Maximum Motorsports rear control arms, but it does not sit super low. The control arms on it are non-adjustable.

Anybody else having issues with thier 275's rubbing? Should I be concerned with my rubbing issue since it only happens when backing down and going up my driveway? I have tried going at up and down the driveway at a sharp angle. It helps, but the rubbing still happens.

What do you all think? Will wheel spacers help?

Yes, wheel spacers is your cheapest solution. Be sure to get good ones, you don't want to loose a wheel while moving.

Lowered and running 275/40/17 in the rear with spacers. No issues!

Ya, there shouldn't be a problem with that. A lot of people run that set up and a lot of people run 315's while lowered.

LOL.. sorry for the hi-jack but I love youravatar Romer.. hehe.. "my name is John Kimble.. and I like my cah".. LOL

I'm lowered an inch with LCA's running Nitto 555R's on 17x10" Steeda's and I've never had a problem with rubbing before. Only thing I have to worry about is beaning my headers if I go into a steep driveway or parking lot entrance since the dang SLP's hang so low. [&:]
