Default Too small piping?

is 2 1/2in piping too small for a 99 gt with no muffler turn downs? is this hurting hp/torque?

Default RE: Too small piping?

2 and 1/2 inch exhaust piping is good for our cars. I think stock is 2 and 1/4 inches, so the 2 and 1/2 inch aftermarket systems are just where you want to be.
