yeah i already bought brake cleaner. It doesnt say anything about being able to use on the pads, but I assume you can since you would kind of have to anyway. Wish me luck! I got the duplicolor paint today.

My guess would be that the pink stuff is disc-brake-quiet, it's usually orange or pinkish and is applied to the back of the pads to basically absorb the vibrations of the pads so the brakes don'tsqueal.
I've never heard of pink brake fluid btw?
Well, it's red. A little bit of red can appear to be pink.

Brake cleaner wont affect the brake pads at all.

Just use a drill with a wire brush... Then use some sand paper and prep with buildable and etching primer scuff again, prep with alcohol, and paint to color and then use a good quality clear coat...

Easy money.
