Sorry it took so long, but the pictures are up here: http://community.webshots.com/album/563400784QYINqu
Too many for me to link in the thread.

I have everything taken apart now, including the steering rack and all the damaged hoses and lines out.

I do have a question as to what something is called, and where I can find it. And if I can get just this piece. There is a power steering fluid cooler liner that runs in front of the condensor. There are 2 lines that plug into it. The bottom one runs right about the rack, where 4 lines screw in. This line is damaged on the brass part, so the whole line needs to be replaced. What is this one called?

The only other power steering line that is damaged, has a joint half way down it with a brass fitting. I disconnected it right here. Can I buy just this piece? Even if I cant, I'll buy the new line and swap out the damaged part. The piece that runs up into the car looks like it would be a pain to change.

Also, the lines that run under the radiator/core support to the AC compressor...where can I find these, or what should I ask for at a parts store?

I'll link the pictures of the power steering lines so you guys can see what I'm talking about and not have to guess by looking at the photos.

You can see both damaged lines clearly in this picture. One can be taken out at the brass fitting, and the other is clamped onto the cooler line. This is what I could use some help on finding replacement parts.

And on a different note, and another reason I was working on the car to begin with. I JUMPED a telephone pole laying across the highway, along with about 14 other people. It was laying like a ramp, right after you came over the top of an over pass.

The guy that hit it ran off and left his car. The car was untitled and had never been registered, so everyone that took damage because of the pole had no one to go after. It put a perfect dent down the center of my car. I fixed it all months ago, well most of it. Had to put a new X pipe, driveshaft, oil pan, changed the rear end seals, and a few other things. Well, it also cracked the bell housing on the transmission...and it progressively got worse. Well, I welded it up while it was out of the car. This was one of the things that seemed to go right on this job, so I'll show some pictures. I'm sure welding it wasnt the best fix, but I can't really put in the trans. I want right now.

Drilled through the housing to stop the cracks from spider webbing and spreading further, and grinded some grooves in it to weld it back up. Talk about a nasty thing to weld...pulled a ton of trash and oil to the surface, and had to hit it with a wirewheel grinder numerous times.

from the pics the core support is just bent up and could be straightened, then just get a new rack, radiator and fans from a junk yard, most autoparts places sell metal lines by the rolls if you need to replace any.

the core is welded and you would be way better to take it to a frame shop, they will be able to hook the core and just pull it straight, and worst case weld a support bracket on, if it was me i would remove everything and introduct my 4x4 and sledge hammer,

I beat out the core support straight today using a big hammer and 2x4. I'll get some pictures of that. I think I'm going to cut out the bottom cross member on it, and cut the same part out of a new one and weld it it. I'm really looking for the pre-bent line that will match all the factory bends and I can put back into the plastic holsters.

Where the hell did you have the jack? On the radiator support? You know that it not a jacking point you bought yourself about $3000 worth of damage. LMR and the ford dealer is goingto be the places you can use most for the parts or a junkyard.
You are making assumptions that don't make sense. The jack goes uder those area when using the K-member as a jacking area.

What a jackass
Slow your role Jr. Keep it up and you'll be banned.

Trust me. I know.

I am also using the mishimoto radiator... works great.

I too have worked for an insurance company, and now I'm in law school. I will be going back to work for the insurance when I graduate to help defend the insurance company.

look, as far as the bags goin off, if they did, you must have drove off the stands. the srs system needs to make a ton of decisions before a deployment, and saying that the car was off with no juice, and no one in it, i dont know about that. anyway sucks that it happen hope you get it fixed.

Haha- your giving theSRS too much credit. its smart, but stupid.
Heck...static charge from your fingers can set the bags off.
if theres no one in the car, and the car gets hit..or hits something, airbags go boom!
Traditionally....thats the way it has worked
