PI swap complete, now overheating

PI swap complete, now overheating
So I just finished up my PI swap on my 96GT. Now that I am done with that, I am overheating. I had originally installed an 180 degree thermostat. Thinking that I may have a defective one, I put the stock 192 back in. It is still getting hot, to the "A" in normal. I had drained the coolant from the radiator and the block when I did the swap. One thing I did notice was that when it was getting hot, the fan was not kicking on until I pulled the harness from the DS coolant sensor, or turned on the AC. I just replaced the sensor that controls the guage. The sensor that controls the fan was the one that came on the PI intake (The crossover had a NPI crossover on the PI intake when I bought it), so maybe that is bad??? But I do not really remember my fan kicking on at idle before I did the swap.

RE: PI swap complete, now overheating
I had the same problem when I first got my car back together after the swap. The way that ford wants you to put coolant in the car gets air bubbles in it when its nearly empty. let the car idle, take the cap off and keep adding as the system "burps" itself to get all the air out.

RE: PI swap complete, now overheating
Yeah, I left the cap off all night and had to add some coolant in this morning. I drove it to work with the temp sensor off that controls the fan so it would runing all the time. Seems to have stabalized somewhat after driving it. When I get it home tonight I am going to replace that sensor, and I will let it idle with the cap off for a while. Thanks for the help.
