Mach 460 skipping cds!!!!!!
Hey everyone,
I had recently got a 02 gt with a 6 disc mach 460 stereo system. It sounds great, but every once in a while, the cds will start to skip. I take the cd out and put it back in and then it plays fine, until a half hour or so later where it starts to skip again. I've tried putting these cds in every slot, and they eventually skip in all of them. My standard am/fm stereo in my v6 stang plays them fine, no problem. Any ideas or suggestions whats going on with my mach 460?

mine will skip after it gets hot. not much you can do except go aftermarket... just wait till it wont eject or load any cds[>:] welcome to the wonderful world of the mach audio sound system.

thanks guys. Its strange, but it hasn't done it lately now. I'm still gonna try cleaning it with a cd cleaner. Hopefully that does the trick. Otherwise its adios to my mach.

skipping on a cd player may be due to a dirt lens, it can be fixed by either replacing the old cd player with one aftermarket one, or using a cd cleaner (one with brushes on it) two kinds, wet and dry, i like the wet ones better, I've done alot of audio, but im still new to my mustang, and avn't replaced the mach system yet.
