Default Tach Voltage?

Does anyone know about what the output voltage should be for a tach lead?

My window switch is not working, and I want to check the tach signal before I replace the whole switch.
Thanks!

Default RE: Tach Voltage?

If you are referring to the CTO (Clean Tach Output) signal from the instrument cluster (or pin 48 on the PCM), it should be 3.0 to 9.0 volts when measured with a multimeter (it depends on the frequency response of the meter). --------------edit -- engine idling...
